1. Who we are

CatalysPeak (“we”, “us”) is an AI-powered lesson-planning service for language teachers, operated as a product under the AX umbrella. By creating an account you (“you”, the “Teacher”) agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to form a binding contract to use CatalysPeak. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide at signup.

3. Your account

You are responsible for the security of your credentials. Do not share your password. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. We may suspend accounts that show signs of abuse or violate these Terms.

4. Free trial and subscriptions

CatalysPeak offers a 7-day free trial without requiring a payment method. After the trial, continued use requires an active paid subscription (monthly or annual). Prices and billing cycles are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe.

You may cancel at any time from the billing portal. Monthly cancellations end access at the close of the current billing period; annual subscriptions are non-refundable except where required by law.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use CatalysPeak to:

  • Generate or distribute material that is illegal, hateful, harassing, or sexual content involving minors;
  • Infringe third-party intellectual property rights;
  • Circumvent security controls, rate limits, or attempt to disrupt the service;
  • Resell, sublicense, or white-label the service without our written permission;
  • Submit data belonging to your students without their (or their guardians’) consent where required.

6. Content and ownership

You retain ownership of the data you input (method profile, student profiles, lesson notes, reflections). You grant us a limited licence to process this data solely to provide the service. AI-generated lesson plans are provided to you without warranty as to originality; we do not claim copyright over outputs.

7. Student data

You are the data controller of any student information you enter. You are responsible for obtaining any consents required under your local privacy laws (e.g. GDPR, CCPA). We act as a data processor on your instructions. See our Privacy Policy for details.

8. AI outputs — disclaimer

Lesson plans are generated by third-party AI models. They are a starting point for your teaching, not a finished product. You are the professional in the classroom; review and adapt every plan before using it. We make no warranty that outputs are accurate, pedagogically appropriate, or suitable for any particular student.

9. Service changes, suspension, termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with reasonable notice where possible. We may terminate your access for material breach of these Terms; you may terminate at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting your account.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from or related to the service is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect.
